Poetry is the origin of my internal peace and the tool I use to explore the human experience through the lens of language. It is within these verses that the subtle conversations we have with ourselves—those whispered thoughts, doubts, and revelations—find expression. Each poem I write tries to capture the fleeting, special composition of a moment
before they pass on. Its become somewhat of a habit at the end of my days to recollect on small, intimate interactions between myself, others, and the world around us. That habit became the starting point of a poetry book I published in 2023, titled:
Alive, dead, and somewhere in between!
in which I became able to face mortality, and the ghostly scars following me in life. Each poem was a reflection on the clarity of life and moments imbued with detail, the unrecognizable cloudiness and impairment death causes on our senses and purpose, and the eternal limbo one faces after moving through a physical loss, but still being present in life’s movement.
Since that publication, I’ve been journaling and writing daily as a way to intensely feel the emotions that may get trapped as life stacks more and more responsibility into my hollow frame. In the quiet moments of writing, I feel most alive. I have opted to use a poetry moodboard instead of share my entire poetry catelog - feel free to check out the most recent poems that I’ve written on the moodboard.
With each poem, I invite you to pause and listen closely. You may find a shared human existence within the words I write. My hope is that my poetry resonates with you, that it sparks introspection and connection, and that it serves as a reminder of the profound power of language to heal and restore our neurocognitive systems.
